SCWA-2 type Usable Hot Water Temperature Stabilizer

Purpose

Temperature stabilizers are installed in district heating substations with flow exchangers of usable hot water, especially in systems without dispensers and with usage of automatics that limits usable hot water temperature with the help of direct-activity thermoregulation valves (RTB type produced by TERMEN Wroclaw or by MERTIK). System that uses stabilizers allows usable hot water stabilization within the range of ą3°C in relation to demanded temperature. Usable hot water temperature stabilization consists in mixing water of different and rapidly-changing temperature parameters. One stabilizer of 300l is enough for systems, where mean consumption of usable water heat does not exceed 50 000 Kcal/h. When there are greater consumption values, two or more stabilizers can be connected in series. For smaller consumption values, it is advisable to use stabilizer of 150l. Stabilizers prevent thermal stresses from occurring in installation stacks, especially in high buildings and liquidate thermal stresses of direct-activity thermoregulators. They also act as usable hot water installation's "desilter" and they limit so-called "overgrowth" of circulating pumps.

Technical Description
Stabilizer is a vertical container of cylindrical shape of O D diameter and total height of H1, closed with two ellipsoidal heads. In container's upper head there are two vertical, flanged Dn A spigots. Supplying spigot reaches with its cut end (45° angle) to container's lower part, while the other one is outlet spigot. T thermometer's spigot and G2\" technological spigot are also located in upper head. G2\" technological spigot is also located in lower head; it acts as blowdown - washout connection. Two G1\" spigots for thermoregulators' connection and two G11\" spigots for circulating pumps' connection are located in a boiler drum. In SCWA 1501 stabilizer, there are only single spigots. Whole construction of the stabilizer is protected against corrosion with zinc coating.
