FO2 type filter-clarifier and
FO2M magnetic filter-clarifier




Purpose

FO2 filter-clarifiers block solid contaminations that are drifted by water, while FO2M filter-clarifiers - thanks to permanent magnets (installed on Customer's demand) - additionally trap ferromagnetic particles. They are installed on heating networks and district heating substations (before flow heat exchangers and elements of heating automatics). These appliances can cooperate with local water-pipe systems equipped with iron removers (high-rate sand filters) for additional cleaning of the water.
Definite facilitation of filter-clarifier's operation is another extra advantage of this appliance.

Technical description
Magnetic filter-clarifier is a vertical container of cylindrical shape. In cylindrical part of the container inlet and outlet spigots with flanges are placed; while in internal part of the container a strainer and set of permanent magnets are located.
Filter-clarifiers are made of carbon steel, galvanized both-side.
In order to deaerate the appliance, a vent must be installed in container's upper cover.
FO2 and FO2M type filter-clarifiers operate taking advantage of inertial forces, magnetic field forces and filtration phenomenon. Water that flows in through inlet spigot is directed downwards through a special partition. It slows velocity flow down and causes precipitation of thicker contaminations because of inertia force. Simultaneously, water stream washes the magnets' set and contaminations of ferroconcrete properties are being trapped. Other contaminations, which are drifted by water, are blocked by the grinder.

Filter-clarifier's cleaning consists in: Particular attention must be paid for direction of water flow through filter-clarifier in order to ensure correct operation.
